Spring has arrived! With all the flowery wool colors.

Spring has arrived…. with all the colors of wool!

Before I started working on another handbag (for our class on April 4th!) I had to make myself a new spring-y coffee mat!

Hello Fiber Artists!

I’m SO glad the flowers are popping. They are keeping my soul happy. Nature never disappoints.

I hope you are all well and doing artsy things. There is so much to catch you up on, I’m going to dive right in……

CLASSES

Our Seamless Handbag Class is coming up fast - this Saturday, April 4th. Explore color and design in a way that suits your style. Keep it simple and classic, go loud and colorful, or create something abstract and unique—it’s up to you! Of course, there will be lots of fun colors and snacks! Sign up at Eugene Textile Center

Try my new Pinch Pot Class, inspired by classic clay pinch pots! In this class, you’ll create a small felted bowl by building up thick, colorful layers of wool and embellishment fibers, then pinching up the corners to form a sweet, sculptural vessel. This is a great beginner class, so sign up a friend and spend the day doing art together! Saturday, April 18th. Sign up at Eugene Textile Center

U of O Visiting Artist, um, me!

My bestie came to town and helped me with the installation for my Visiting Artist gig for the U of O Craft Center. You can view it in the Erb Memorial Union on the 2nd floor by the Adell McMillan Gallery. It’s in 3 glass cases at the north end. I’ll be doing a talk on April 24th at 12:00 noon, and then a 3-hour beginner workshop following the talk which I think might be full already. Get info on the Craft Center website

Come felt with me at Fiber in The Forest - a retreat for fiber lovers

My big ol’ whimsy table runner with all the bells and whistles right before I felted it. I’m going to needle felt it, too1

Felting, peace and quiet, yummy food, and nature nature nature… that’s Eugene Textile Center’s Fiber in The Forest retreat. I’ll be hosting the felting workshop for 3 days where we’ll make a beautiful table runner full of the delicious colors of spring and summer! I’ll have landscape and flower techniques to show you as well as samples for inspiration. Bring your favorite nature photo and turn it into felt. Get lots of retreat details on my website. Small Steps Create Big Shifts

It All Begins Here

Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.

The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.

You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
