Wet Felted Carry-All Bag

Join us for a fun and functional felting adventure! In this workshop you’ll use a large, round resist and soft merino wool in your favorite colors to create your unique, wet-felted bag—great as a purse, project bag, or everyday carry-all. Your finished piece will include a handy inside pocket and riveted strap handles for a polished, durable finish.

We had SO much fun in our Carry-All Bag class. I love the variety of color, design and shape of the bags these gals made!

We’ll build several layers of wool to make a strong, padded layout then rub gently to bring our fibers together. From there we’ll use our rhythmic rolling method to felt, full, and bring our designs to life.

If you’ve taken our nuno-felted cowl or shawl class, this is a fun opportunity to create a coordinating set—perfect for a stylish trip to the market, lunch with friends, or your next creative outing! 

What to Expect: This is a physically active class that involves standing for long periods and vigorous rolling using your hands, arms, and upper body. 

What to Wear: It’s handy to wear an apron to catch the water drips and ¾ sleeves, sleeves you can roll up or sleeves you don’t mind getting wet. You’ll need comfy shoes. 

What to Bring: Snacks or a lunch and a drink. There is a fridge and microwave available. We’ll have water, tea and cookies on hand for munching anytime.
