Wet Felted Hanging Garden Light
Saturday, July 25th, 2026, 10:00 - 4:00pm
Eugene Textile Center, Eugene, Oregon
Bring a little magic to your garden, patio, or favorite tree this summer! Spend a playful day creating a wet-felted Hanging Garden Light (or a little house for a garden gnome!) Using wool batts in a rainbow of colors, you'll design and felt a unique hanging lantern that adds warmth and whimsy to your outdoor space.
You’ll learn how to use a resist to build a seamless, three-dimensional sculpture, then cut a hole (or holes!) in any fun shape you’d like for the light to shine through (LED tealight included). You’ll also learn how to make a sturdy cord that is felted directly onto your piece. We'll explore color blending and finishing techniques that bring character and charm to your new garden art!
This class is suitable for adventurous beginners as well as experienced felters looking to expand their skills and play with sculptural forms. Add a touch of enchantment to your outdoor gatherings this summer! Space is limited, so grab your spot early!
