Wet-Felted Sparkle Notebook Cover

Add a little sparkle to your journaling or create a beautiful book to capture your summer adventures! Spend a full, creative day crafting a one-of-a-kind felted bookcover (included!) with a button closure and matching bookmarks! Using soft merino wool and custom “bling batts”—a luminous blend of merino, viscose, and a touch of sparkling Angelina fiber—you’ll design a richly textured surface with gorgeous striations of color that shimmer in the light.
During our play time together, we’ll focus on hand-shaping, fulling, and finishing techniques to ensure your cover fits beautifully and holds its structure. You’ll also sew on a button and learn how to make an easy, functional buttonhole—adding a polished touch.
If time allows, experiment with making a felted cord with fringe for an extra, fancy bookmark! Your finished piece is perfect for journaling, sketching, felting recipes, or daily lists—take it to the park, the river, or your favorite sunny spot this summer. It also makes a thoughtful, handmade gift.
This class includes all materials, a high-quality lined hardcover journal (refillable with any 8" x 6" notebook), plus printed instructions and a materials list for future projects. Ideal for those with some felting experience or adventurous beginners ready to dive in. Space is limited for this class, so register early!

What to Expect: This is a physically active class that involves some standing and vigorous rubbing and rolling using your hands and arms.
What to Wear: It’s handy to wear an apron to catch the water drips and sleeves you can push up. Wear comfy shoes.
What to Bring: Snacks or lunch. Water, coffee, tea, and snacks will be available all day!
