Wet Felted Seamless Handbag
Join us for a playful, hands-on felting workshop where we'll make a seamless wet felted handbag. Using plenty of merino wool in delicious colors, you’ll design and felt a bag from a single piece of felt using a resist—no seams, no sewing, just wool, water, and your hands!
Explore color and design in a way that suits your style. Keep it simple and classic, go loud and colorful, or create something abstract and unique—it’s up to you.
After we create our designs, we’ll work through the full wet felting process—rubbing, rolling, fulling, and shaping until the surface becomes smooth and cohesive.
You’ll leave with an expressive, functional, and entirely unique handbag, along with a deeper understanding of seamless resist felting and the confidence to explore this technique in future projects.

Time: 10:00am - 4:00/4:30pm
Location: The Eugene Textile Center—complete with hot tea, coffee, and, of course, snacks!
What to Expect: This is a physically active class that involves standing and vigorous rubbing and rolling using your hands, arms, and upper body.
What to Wear: It’s handy to wear an apron to catch the water drips and sleeves you can push up. Wear comfy shoes.
What to Bring: Snacks or lunch. There is a fridge and microwave available.
