Summer Felting & Fall Classes!
I just had to add these beauties to my end-of-summer felting stock!
Hello Fiber Friends,
Somehow it’s already September, and summer went by way too fast! I’ve been felting outside on my front porch as much as possible before the weather changes. Apparently I wasn’t quite ready to let go of summer, because I came home from the Eugene Textile Center recently with some bright kiwi and aqua wool to keep things poppin’ with color a little longer.
I hope you’re all doing well and finding time to make artsy things. I have a summer recap to share, along with my upcoming class schedule.
But first! I wanted to let you know that I will be back to felt with you at Fiber in the Forest next year. It’s scheduled for May 13 - 16, 2027. I am so honored to be asked back and absolutely can’t wait. Check out the info and photos from last year.
Making Pinch Pots on the Oregon Coast!
I had such a fun day at the Manley Art Center in Brookings felting with this wonderfully creative group! The Manley is a member-run gallery with new artwork each month and a great lineup of classes. Be sure to swing by when you're visiting the southern coast. In fact, I think it would be an especially cozy place to take an art class on a stormy winter day. Check out the gallery & their classes
Our Gardens Got a Little Fancier!
Using mixed-wool batts in super pretty colors, we felted up these garden lights with twirly tails for hanging them up! We put little LED tea lights in them, but I'm waiting for a little fairy to move into mine!
A Day of Making Something Personal
We made these journal covers from the inside out, starting with yarns, nepps, sparkles, and other fun bits, then covering it all up with wool. Once felted, we cut them open to reveal what had been hiding inside—the best part! We used the sparkly cut pieces to make clasps and bookmarks, and every journal turned out completely unique. I slipped a calendar into mine and use it to jot down a little art inspiration every day.

Wet Felted Harvest Basket

Choose from a selection of handles or bring your own! (about 19” long, 1-1.5” diameter)
Celebrate the beauty of natural fibers while creating a one-of-a-kind felted basket that's as useful as it is beautiful. In this all-day workshop, you'll use the wet felting resist technique to transform natural, undyed wools into a sculptural harvest basket, finished with a hand-picked piece of driftwood as its handle.
We’ll explore how differences in staple length and natural color influence both the appearance and strength of the finished piece. Add flax fibers for a unique design and natural texture.
Perfect as a project tote or for gathering the season's treasures!
Wet Felted Wavy Warmer

I like to wear my warmer under my coat collar sometimes to feel extra snuggled, but it’s hard not to show off its wavy design!

Get ready for cooler weather with a soft Wavy Neck Warmer—a cozy piece of wearable felt that curves beautifully around your neck and adds just the right amount of warmth and style.
We’ll work with merino wool in a variety of colors, then add shiny viscose, art yarns, and other fiber goodies for texture, color, and a little sparkle. Make yours subtle and earthy, bright and playful, or somewhere in between.
Learn the Wave
What makes this project special is the way the wool is laid out. Instead of a traditional layout, we’ll use a fanning technique that creates the distinctive wavy shape as the fibers felt and shrink.
